A: A business that provides products and services that are health conscious, socially responsible and safe for the environment is considered “green” for the purposes of this directory.
Q: We are an online business and do not have a retail store in Indiana. Can we list our business on Indiana Green Pages?
A: No. In order to be listed on Indiana Green Pages the business should have headquarters, sale representatives, or retail locations in the state of Indiana.
Q: What features will attract consumers to Myhomegreenpages.com?
A: It will have the following features to attract consumers and insure that they return frequently:
- A green businesses search engine to search by keyword and geographic location.
- Green businesses products/services reviews: Consumers will be able to post reviews of products or services for every business. Businesses will get star ratings (from 1 to 5 stars) according to the consumer feedback.
- The products/services reviews can be searched by keywords and geographic locations.
- Coupon distribution: Consumers will be able to sign up for weekly coupons from green businesses as well as print coupons from the site.
- Newsletters: Consumers will be able to sign up for a monthly newsletter for local green news.
- Calendar of local green events: Consumers will be able to sign up for bi-monthly email updates about local green events.
- Free subscription for Green Guide Magazine – bi monthly print edition: Consumers can sign up for Green Guide magazine that features advice on green products and services from organic foods and green cleaning products to sustainable building and low emission vehicles.
Q: I chose one category on the first screen but the web site does not allow me to list my product in the print directory under the same category.
A: You will be listed in the same category in the print directory only on consolidated or higher level due to the categories structure of the print edition.
For example: If you selected: Agriculture, Forestry, & Fishing >Agricultural Services > Veterinary Services > Veterinary Services for Animal Specialties >Animal Hospitals, you will be listed under “Veterinary Services” in the print directory.
You can add products/services details to your listing by selecting an available upgrade options (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum listings.)
Q: Is the Indiana Green Pages printed directory for this year – 2008 or next 2009?
A: The first edition of Indiana Green Pages will be the 2009 Indiana Green Pages.
Q: How do you list a corporate business with multiple locations? Do you have to have a separate profile for each location?
A: No. You may only have one profile with multiple addresses for business location.
Q: How do you list a franchise business?
A: Franchise businesses are considered separate entities for listing purposes. Each franchise needs to create a separate listing.
Q: What criteria do you use when you list businesses in the search results?
A: Businesses are listed in alphabetical order for each location.
Q: How do you define which paid listings to list first on the top of the page or last on the bottom of the page?
A: Paid listings that have the highest star rating go first on the top of the first page. The rest of the listings are positioned according to their star rating: from highest to lowest. The listing with the lowest star rating will be listed on the bottom of the second page.
Q: I would like to change my listing type and buy additional advertising services. How do I do that?
A: You can make all changes online within 36 hours of creating your profile. After that please contact lena@myhomegreenpages.com.
Q: When will people have access to the business profiles?
A: People will have access to the business profiles on December 1, 2008.
Q: What period of time does my first payment for online advertising cover?
A: The first monthly payment covers the month of December 2008.
Q: How do I delete the listing?
A: Please email mailto:support@myhomegreenpages.com with your request. The Administrator will delete your business listing and notify you upon completion.
